Judo is a martial art that originated as a method of self-defense. Today, it's primarily a competitive sport with complex rules.

The goal is to throw or subdue your opponent using throws, pins, or joint locks. Judo emphasizes using your opponent's strength against them rather than directly opposing it.

Respect and discipline are core principles, reflected in the practice etiquette and the ranking system with colored belts. Judoka wear a specific uniform (judogi) and practice barefoot.

Muay Thai, or Thai boxing, originated from the traditional Thai martial art Muay Boran. It became a formalized combat sport in the early 20th century, incorporating rules and a boxing ring influenced by British boxing. Fighters transitioned from using rope-wrapped hands to boxing gloves. Muay Thai involves punches, elbows, knees, and kicks, allowing clinching, sweeps, and throws.
